Carl Sagan was an astronomer, a professor, and played a leading role in the American space program. Carl had done many things to help science discovers involving the solar system. As an consultant to NASA, he had advised the Apollo astronauts before their flights to the moon, and was an experimenter on many expeditions including
the Mariner, Viking, Voyager, and Galileo. He has also helped to solve the different riddles of the high temperature of Venus, the seasonal changes of Mars, and the reddish haze of Titan( the largest moon on Saturn.) Sagan had received the NASA Medals for Exceptional Scientific Achievement, the NASA Apollo Achievement Award, John F. Kennedy Astronautics Award of the American Astronautical Society, the Explorers Club 75th Anniversary Award, the Konstantin Tsiolokovsky Medal of the Soviet Cosmonautics Federation, and the Masursky Award of the American Astronomical Society.
